Ruby/Rails and ActionScript Developer

FriendCameo is gradually (but surely) reorganizing the way Facebook users communicate with friends. We are looking for an awesome Ruby/ActionScript developer who likes technical challenges, has a can-do attitude, and passion for technology. You will own the architecture of our Flash video conferencing platform which is used by thousands of users every day.

We’re a tiny team, so you can make a MASSIVE impact here. Your contributions at this stage in the company’s history will change how the company grows, how our software is used, and redefine how people on Facebook interact. Our office is located in downtown San Francisco.

What you'll work on:

• Work in an innovative space that is expanding into a billion dollar industry
• Build out our Flash/Ruby platform and work with the newest emerging open-source technologies
• Solve the tough bugs on the platform by implementing efficient solutions
• Practice continuous deployment with releases going out multiple times a day
• Work with passionate, smart and saavy entrepreneurs who like to work hard, play hard, grab dinner, and code a little bit more. We live, eat, and breath FriendCameo

Who you are:

• Desire and ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies
• Care about your implementations and find yourself impulsively examining that your recent experimental deploy is working the way you thought it would
• Comfortable working in an environment where ideas are debated and implemented within a span of hours to days
• You write software for fun. You have experience with or sincere interest in social web APIs (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
• Entrepreneurial
• Have a CS degree or equivalent experience (we really value experience)
• You are hungry to succeed (see our motto above)

Brownie points for:

• Facebook App development experience
• Previous startup experience
• Familiar with social and game mechanics
• Awesome skills in Flex/Flash or Rails development
• Familiarity with SQL (MySQL preferred)

Compensation will be a mixture of both salary and equity. The right combination will be determined with your input. The FriendCameo team is based in downtown San Francisco.
